Bram van Polen Retires from Professional Football at 38

PEC Zwolle Defender Calls Time on Impressive Career

Van Polen, a PEC Zwolle icon, has decided to retire at the end of the season.

Dutch professional footballer Bram van Polen has announced his retirement from the sport at the age of 38. The PEC Zwolle defender, who has spent the past six seasons with the Eredivisie club, will hang up his boots after the current campaign.

Born in the Netherlands in 1985, Van Polen began his career with amateur club BSVV, before moving to Helmond Sport in 2006. He later played for ADO Den Haag and NAC Breda, before joining PEC Zwolle in 2016.

During his time with PEC Zwolle, Van Polen made over 150 appearances and helped the club win the Dutch Cup in 2018. He has also represented the Netherlands at youth level.
